Imagine the illusion of a baby grand piano at your garden ceremony? Or a baby grand in the foyer of your reception centre? Timeless, elegant, and classic. Andy now offers a grand piano shell for hire. For a low fee, Andy can set up his digital piano keyboard inside a portable grand piano shell, which can be positioned just about anywhere.
The visual impact is enormous, and your guests will be amazed at how stunning this stage piece looks. Please mention this service when you make an enquiry.
Andy usually sets up in the afternoon and returns at the appointed performance time. As a precaution, you are advised to check that the reception venue has the facility to provide background music until Andy commences live music.
Andy is always open to performing at the ceremony as well as the reception. Andy can play alto sax, soprano sax or flute as a roving performer if your ceremony is outdoors. Otherwise, Andy can set up a second set of equipment at the ceremony, allowing him to quickly get from ceremony to reception with a minimal amount of fuss.
All options for extra performance places and times can be discussed and incorporated into your entertainment package.
During the early part of the reception, Andy will start with easy listening music. After the formalities, he will up the tempo to get the party going and keep the dance floor filled. A wide variety of dinner and dance music in carefully arranged sets is an important factor in the success of any function.
Andy will always endeavour to meet face-to-face with each couple to discuss the important elements of the reception. During this meeting, Andy will construct a running sheet for the music, which will take into account the timing of the following formalities:
Access time to setup at venue

Andy has performed Master of Ceremonies duties at countless weddings, and is always more than happy to MC the reception at no extra charge.
As well as the provision of good music, an important part of the performer’s function is the expertise to select music that is appropriate for the particular occasion. You should be able to relax and enjoy the party safe in the knowledge that Andy has the experience to know exactly what to play and when to play it.
The order of songs is not pre-planned, as every function is different. A careful selection of appropriate songs (on average 60) will be performed during the function - taking into account the mood, the response of your guests and any special requests you may have.
A sample song list is available from the website and this is supplied purely for the purpose of demonstrating the style and general content. This list can change from time to time, as some songs are dropped and new ones added. Current covers are rarely listed as they change so frequently.
As a general rule, Andy will perform four sets of up to 45mins each. Appropriate breaks (approx 20mins) will be organized to fit in with your format. Exact set times and breaks will be decided when discussing and formulating a running sheet for the evening.
Background music will be played through the PA where appropriate. You are most welcome to BYO iPod with your own selection of backround and / or dance music.
Special note: Please discuss with venue any noise restrictions or cut-off times, as we take no responsibility for such matters.
Andy provides all of his own PA equipment, lighting and instruments. Andy also provides a wireless radio microphone for speeches and formalities.
For a solo performance, Andy will need 3m x 2m clear space to set up his keyboard and PA system. For each extra performer accompanying, please allow another 1m x 2m. If the venue is upstairs or requires security access or passes to gain entry, please let Andy know when you meet to plan with him prior to the wedding day.
Please ensure that there is adequate power provided to the stage area, especially if the reception is outdoors or in a marquee. Andy needs approximately 15A total power load to operate all his equipment.
Andy performs at many venues all over Melbourne and Geelong, and you are more than welcome to attend any of Andy's public performances.
